How to be a tart (or at least bake like one.)
It’s that time of year! We’ve finally recovered from the holidays, and are ready to bake with you.
Join Elizabeth and Allie for an evening of baking, discussion about baking ingredients and techniques, eating what we’ve baked, and packing up baked goods to bring back to your loved ones (or not).
Below is our winter class schedule for 2014. Please note that classes are limited to seven attendees, and tend to sell out quickly.
Friday, February 7th, 6pm
Thanks to modern day gluten-free diets, Parisian-style macarons have seen an incredible resurgence here in the states. (In France, they never lacked appreciation.) This class will cover the finicky techniques involved in the production of the perfect macaron, and will include a lesson in buttercream as well. Patience and a steady hand are required.
The macaron class is NOT recommended for beginning bakers.
Friday, February 14th, 6pm
Bake and finish heart-shaped cookies for your friends, and friends with benefits. This class is less about technique and more about a gorgeous finished product. Cappuccino creams, Linzer hearts and buttah cups are on the menu. This makes a pretty cool date for you and your honey, btw.
Friday, February 21st, 6pm
There’s only one requirement for those attending this class – the patience of a Zen master. If you love all things lemon, you’ll love making your own lemon curd, along with a few lemony cookie varieties to accompany it.

parisian macarons - redux
In case you are unable to make the earlier class, here’s a second opportunity… (see notes above).
Unless noted, classes are priced at $30 per person. Each two-hour class is limited to seven participants. Reservations will be held with a credit card, or may be paid at time of booking. Because these classes have limited capacity, a 24-hour cancellation notice is required for a refund. Your fellow classmates and my family kindly request that you arrive promptly at 6pm.
